I kinda wanted to post my picture, but with my luck someone will recognize me...I am sure it wouldn't matter, because obviolusly they would have to have been on Pixies on order to see my pic. But still.....
Are/were any of you hesitant at all? I am from a somewhat small town in Texas and with my luck, someone from here gets on Pixies also. I just think I would be embarressed....even if they never mentioned it.
I think too much sometimes.....

Although I have no real reason, I do not like being recognized. And I think it is very courageous showing really a face.
At least you can call ME paranoid. :D

Sassy, if someone did, like you stated...they are on here too....
And truthfully there is a very good chance, I know that a relative posts here. Just not sure if they know that I am here or not, not sure if I will ever tell them that I know about them. But if they do find me, oh well. :)

Some people are afraid to be recognized whether it be for job reasons or personal reasons or just for the sheer anonymity of it. So if you are more comfy not showing your face thats up to you.. There are no rules here at Pixies about showing anything.. its all in what you feel comfy with :D
If you want to post a pic with your face... do it. If you are afraid someone will recognize you, don't show it. Do what you want to do... and what you are comfortable with! :D I've been on here almost a year and have never posted my face, but I have posted lots of pics... :o ;)

I am one of those people who for many reasons would have problems if recognized. Although my husband and some close friends know about Pixies, because of career and civic responsibilities I try to remain somewhat anonymous!

I am also like Lilith, although a couple of people know about me on this site and a few people I have met here at Pixies know what i look like, i prefer the anominimity (is that how its spelt??) Anyway, for that reason i won't post my face. Then again, until recently i had other parts posted and they are now no longer either!!

Exactly the way it is with me SassyLove...I might consider sending a face pic to a few select people, but other than that, I'll continue with the type of pics I've already got going on here :) I feel there's just way too many issues for me personally if someone were to happen upon a headshot here.

Ok, I am glad I am not the only one that thinks about these things....
I am glad you are the same way BlondeCurlGirl! :)

sassy its really up to you love, but if you think that for a minute you will be recognized neck down shots are just as hot, i live in a small town as well and have posted facial pics but then i am of a diffrent breed my motto is what the f%&$ if they recognize me then that means thier here also, so does that make them a better perv than me, we think not! but its really a personal thing.

Until recently I wasn't worried about it.
Then I made some people angry at my old website and I felt and still feel a bit threatened having my face pics out there....
think long and hard about whether you want to take that chance.
Body shots don't worry or bother me but it's such a personal decision about what to post....just be cautious or careful. It's not a good feeling to wonder what evil intentions other people might have if they saw a face shot here.

Sassylove,
I HAVE posted my face here -a couple of times- I kind of think of it as something like a nudist beach. (Try hiding your face all day in a situation like that!)
Like you said, the only people who would see your face are members...
...but like everyone else has said, it all depends on your comfort level.
I think I can safely say that no one here will pressure you to post anything that you're not comfortable with.

Dallas, what was your reaction when you saw your relative?
I don't think I'll ever post my face, either. I don't want to take the chance that someone will recognize me.

I have posted all of me here face and genitals and even in a dress. I dont worry about being recognized, as far as i know there are no other Tasmanians posting here.
I can understand people, especially women and professional people not showing their faces. I know what a lot of my close friends here look like cos we have exchanged pics and I protect their privacy and honour their trust implicitly.

I was kind of shocked, Steph.....but like I said. They aren't innocent either if they are on here. So I am not worried about it. If they do happen across one of my posts, then oh well. We both will have something to laugh about at the next family reunion LMAO.
But truthfully at first it did make me reconsider about posting my pics, I had only submitted stories before then. But figured what the hell. You only live once.

I feel a bit of a cheater replying here, since I've never posted a pic (of myself, anyway!) ~ but personally, I am simply VERY grateful to everyone who posts here, with or without faces.
The main reason I've hung around here is because of the HUGE variety of ladies (sorry guys!) who post here; every one is beautiful in their own way <sorry for the cliche, but it's true!> and I am in awe of ALL the people who are brave (mad?!) enough to post here.
The other reason is, just about everyone else thinks the same way, judging by the replies all the posts receive. 'course, you're ALL a little bit mad...... I LIKE!!!!!
LONG LIVE PIXIES!

Great question...
For a very long time I was very hesitant to post any pics of myself... I finally took the leap and posted a few nude pics of myself, tho even after doing that I wasn't prepared to expose my face.
My hesitancy was for several reasons.... the major being that I don't see myself as attractive. I have long since come to understand that altho I don't see myself as attractive at all, others might. Once I got over that... the possibility of being discovered by someone I knew was a less traumatic possibility.
I do have a job that, if my presence here were discovered could be SLIGHTLY compromised. I work for the state in a position where I work with the public. IF I had the slightest idea that one of the people on any of my cases knew that I was here, I would just have to take the steps to remove the case from my load. It could be easy for someone to attempt to hold my participation here over my head as leverage, but it wouldn't work well for them.
Last I looked, coming here, and posting wasn't illegal and it certainly couldn't be used as leverage to fire me. I don't believe I would be embarrassed (those closest to me at work already know I have a kinky side).
There is a slight advantage for people who only slightly know me to find me here... maybe it would allow them to see a side of my that they may have otherwised missed.. and that could be just the incentive they need to get to know me better :)

G'day Sassy,
I agonised over whether to post a pic of me for about oh....fifteen seconds.
Most of the guys I know wouldn't give a rats if they saw my face on here and...most of the wimmin I know would probably suspect that I'd feel pretty comfortable here at Pixies.
It helps if you're bulletproof!

Hey I live in a small town in Texas too!! But It really doesn't matter to me if anyone recognized me...hell i told one of my friends about the site yesterday.....i say if anyone were to think wrong of you, or anyone, they're just upset b/c we are okay with talking about sex and having fun and so forth, they just wish they had the balls to post pictures here, we're just privilged to be here!!

I live in Pennsylvania Dutch country. Most of the people here don't even own a computer let alone getting on a sex site. The people I know who do have computers go to sites with recipes and stuff like that. And to be honest without sounding too condescending, these folks around here are afraid of technology. Whenever I am talking about my computer at work I hear things like, "Oh I could never get a computer. I would be afraid I would do something so wrong that it would never work right for me". Or, "I just recently got a microwave oven and I have to figure that out first before I ever consider a computer".
But in answer to the question at hand......Yes I was really reluctant to post my pics and then even more reluctant to post a face pic for a few reasons. First, like jennaflower, I never thought of myself as being all that attractive. After posting for a while I came to realize that to each his own and some like a certain something and others like something different. What is appealing for one isn't necessarily everyones cup of tea.......and that's ok! Second, the few people I do know with computers might discover me here and then what? Well, I just took the plunge and to date I remain "undiscovered".
I'm a truly honest person (to a fault sometimes) and I wanted all my friends here to get the know the real me.....the whole me if you will! My husband, on the other hand, nearly fainted when I told him I posted a face pic. He gave me all the "what if's" and I had an answer for each of them. He's calmed down now but he was crazed about it at first. Until recently he had no cause for this reaction, but just a while ago I discovered that a few of my pics had been "lifted" from here. They weren't used on any other sex site but were sent to someone by a woman who claimed they were her. It got me to thinking.......but not enough to never post again. I've discovered that I am an exhibitionist at heart and I gotta be me! The people of Pixies sure know how to boost a girls ego!

I too have been hesitant to post identifiable pics......but when it comes down to it, I have to agree with the others, if they see my pics, well, so be it. I have not posted any facial pics that aren't obscurred in some way but I do have a one of a kind tattoo that is very identifiable and I have posted it many times.
