I was in my workout room, late last night.I wanted to put something on the TV,that wouldn't distract me.I put the remote on the USA channel&WN party was on.You wouldn't believe the
stars that were there, saluting him,by performing.I had to tell you guys this. One of the entainers that he performed with was Stephen Tyler(Aerosmith)It reminded me of an article, that I read in the magazine section,a few years ago. They were interviewing,
one of his daughters(not Liz)They asked her if she was embarrassed to see a man of his age,up there rocking. She said:
I don't care if he's 80!As long as he's enjoying himself&people
still want to see him.If he's not making a fool of himself&he's
happy, then I'm happy for him.I wish more people thought like
that!If you stay active&use it,you don't lose it.Everyone is different.What's your opinion?I know that I do alot of things slower&my stamina isn't as good,but I'm not dead yet&I don't
like bieng treated that way! Irish
P.S.By the way,Willie was 70,and he's not dead yet!

It's hard to believe he's 70. I was out last night and forgot to tape it. It looked like it was going to be awesome.

I love his new songs, too.

I missed it too :(

I am not surprised in the least as to the other entertainers that were there to salute him and pay tribute. Altho Willie has always been Country (well, there was that one song with Julio) he has got to be one of the most enfluential men in music... period.

Willie has never changed who he was.. for anyone... and he figured out a way to make a sizeable profit from his rebel attitude...

Sadly, the last several times I have seen him perform, I can finally see age.. and the reaper coming up on him.... someday.. when he is gone.. he will be missed...

I'm not a big fan of Willie when he's singing, but he is one of the best song writers in the business with numerous hits in various areas of music. That is one of the big reasons (I believe) he has so many artists that wanted to pay tribute.

And Irish .... you're not getting older ... you're getting better ... hopefully the rest of us are as well! :)

Toby Keith&performing partner, sang a song that they wrote
for WN.They said that alot of the performers, gather in Willies
trailer,after a show!The song was something about,never
smoking with Willie, after a show, and trying to keep up with
his"giant bones"! Irish
