AVI Problem...

Can any body tell me how I can post a 9.4MB AVI Of Myself and FION...
I've tried Zip and that only reduces it by 1.2MB..

Or am I missing a page where AVI's and MPEG's are postable ???

If you use WinRAR, you can create a new archive using the wizard, and split it up into seperate chunks of a specific size each during the wizard. Choose about 150000 bytes, which is just short of 150 KB. This will allow you space for the zip file header, as you'll need to zip each of the resultant little chunks to get them on Pixies. Then, you can post each individual chunk seperately, after which, they'll have to be unzipped each, and then the .rar file unrared. Still though, that's an *awful* lot of chunks if you're posting something around 9 MB, and I don't know how many Pixies would have WinRAR.

Pixies does not accept WinRAR files. You need to just zip and see how small you can get it. I would suggest you PM Sharni since she is really good with this.

Lilith, Pixies would however accept rar files that have been zipped, which I why I suggested also zipping the individual chunks.

If you can send the zipped 1.2M file to me....i will reduce the file size with the program i have.....that is the only suggestion i have sorry :)

OK I just knew we did nt allow the rar as an attachment. Like the ones I tried to post of the sounds did not work til Aqua zipped them! Excellent TY!!!
