HS football was "kicked off" today here too...there's a school down the street from us, and we walked down to listen to the band for a few minutes.

I can't wait til tomorrow...

I am a "football mom".... practice started 2 weeks before school began......

Coach told me that my son will probably letter for varsity this year and he is in 10th grade....... he doesn't really want to go out for football, but he is the only one who can kick the ball worth a damn.....

Coach wants him cause he is big..... 5'10" & 235 lbs.... and very strong.......

(I get really nervous.... those kids really hit hard anymore.. and the older they get, the worse it is...... )

Dang, hellsbells, with the f**king innovations you mention ... the game sounds really interesting.

Penetrating the line could have a whole new meaning.

And you said you weren't a fan. :D :D

Hee hee ... in other threads I mentioned that today we went to my daughters house for her birthday (she's 39 today). Anyway, her daughter, our granddaughter, is in high school and on the "flag team." They're selling sweatshirts and so my wife and I got one each.

My wife put grandma on hers. I suggested putting, "FLAG IS A FOUR LETTER WORD," but I got overrode. Guess I'll get grandpa instead. :D :D
