Just read that Krispy Kreme stores are going to be opened in downtown Toronto. They've only been in the suburbs right now and I've managed to avoid them. Anyone addicted to those sugary, doughy delights?

I paid $10 for a box of them 2 weeks ago!!! It was a fundraiser for Pet Save! The were delivered right to my door from down South!!
I should of ordered 4 boxes....damn they are some good tasting donuts!!! Even if they are only "Honey Dipped!"
Oh ya..the box lasted us 5 minutes! I saved a donut for the next day and OH my....it was still very fresh!!!!
Run out to get some Steph!!! You won't be sorryyyyyyyyyy!!!
I will not give in

If you don't *ever* try them, you're safe.
That's my philosophy!

I can't try them! When my sister comes to T.O., she actually drives waaaaaaaaaaay out of her way to get dozens.

But I don't want the evil things! :) If I had been Eve, I wouldn't have eaten the apple, either :)
LOL Steph .... I'll have one now and then (they are close by here ... or at least close by California standards), but even though I love donuts and pastries ... the KK's are about 1/3 more sweet then a regular donut (at least that's my personal estimate) and because of that they taste OVER sweet to me. Of course, like I say, I have indulged in them occassionally ... it is nice to eat a still slightly warm donut. :D
I don't get it... I've had them. They're okay, but nothing I would camp out for. I am in the minority though, I know. ;)

You don't miss them until you have sugar Diabetes like me.I didn't
care about sweets until I couldn't have them! Now, I REALLY want them! It's like forbiding a kid to do something. Then they really want to do it! Irish
P.S.Praying for a LOW blood sugar reaction,so that I have to get my sugar up!

I will join Aqua in the minority. I don't like donuts at all, they make me feel ill.

I guess I will have to join the minority. I don't care for the Krispy Kreme donuts, they upset my stomach and like fzzy said, they are very sweet...

It's a southern thing ya'll! Fried dough and sugar glazed...hot and sweet just like me:D:D:p We have KK allllll over, even available everyday at the grocery stores. Kids sell them in highschool as fundraisers. Even if they put me in a coma it's tradition!

Good News......You can now buy buy Krispy Kreme Doughnuts at your local Albertson Markets by the box or by the sack or you can enjoy a dozen or so right there with your Starbucks iced mochacappufrappaccino.

No store locally, but thank heavens, about once or twice a month ... some church or school is having them brought in and sells them for $5 a dozen.
They are good!

Madison is still waiting for our Krispy Kreme...they are trying to settle on a site, so it could still take awhile! I have tried them elsewhere; they are good, but I just don't see how they are heavenly like people make them out to be!
Give me a chocolate frosted, chocolate donut anyday!

What I love about KK is watching them cook. I can sit there and drink coffee and watch that conveyor belt. A friend of mine has a lovely ring toss the sexy man's cock fantasy involving a KK:o

I'm kinda disappointed because the stores we'll get downtown will just be shipping donuts in because of space constraints so we won't get to see the conveyer belt. There's another donut shop at Canada's Wonderland that has mini-donuts with the conveyer belt, tho'.

Krispy Kremes still have some of the most profitable stores running (I think).
They're donuts covered in sugary syrup and sprinkles, exactly what we all need.

It seemed like soon after their success made them "a wonder" the desire to reduce calories reduce their appeal. Peoria got one and within a year it closed. Had a bad location and worse for them they opened just when their popularity fell. :(
I liked them fresh ... but, day old KK's just didn't taste nearly as good for some reason.
Oh well, I shouldn't be eating them anyway.
I work just down the street from a Krispy Kreme. It is always funny how many people have a box or several next to them on a Sunday morning as they pull into our drive-thru for a latte.
I have had Krispy Kreme's and they are sugary bites of heaven that are a dangerous, but ohhhh so worth it! :)

you can take cold KK's and microwave for about 10 secs and they are all HOT and gooey again...I'm SOOOOO not supposed to have them (type II diabetes here), but every now and then, I can't resist!

I liked eating them, but they didn't like me, so I had to leave 'em be. And ours went out here, anyway; all of them in the state went bankrupt one day. They didn't even warn the employees; they just showed up to work one day to find a note on the door saying the place was closed for good.

You forgot the part where the government says "We're the government, we're here to help you. Allow us to take all your money for taxes and then we'll give you half your normal paycheck."
