Ok, after talking to a few fellow Pixies in PM an chat, I know most of us have some artists we like...or just some prints we've seen in a store we like. Well, maybe this will take off and maybe it won't, but why not post you're favorites here?? I'll get the proverbial ball rolling.



This one is actually my AV. It's called 'Son of Man' by Belgian painter Rene Magritte...(my all time fave artist..and this is my all time fave painting)

OOOOOHHH Eros I'm sooooo glad you started this thread!!!!!:) I love art and I have 3 oils I am very proud of!:D The first one is by the well reknown western artist Bud Pawless. "El Tapadero" is the name of this one.

The second one I have is special to me. It was done by an ex in-law who is Comanche indian. Hollis Asenap. This one is called "The Warrior" It is of a comanche warrior. The third oil I will post as soon as I find out the name of it.

I also have a love for paint horses. so naturally I have to show you my latest addition by western artist Diana Beach. "Warriors Truce" which also cost me a pretty penny! Diana is originally from Montana and has recently relocated here! (lucky me!!!!!!!) This is a calvary horse and and indian war horse.

I also like Kathe Kollwitz work. She was a German artist that did most of her work during WWII. Very powerful works emotionally. This one was called, "Home Labour."

Glyndwr once put me on to this piece, said it reminded him of my dungeon. I can not for the life of me remember who did it. If anyone can identify it I would appreciate it. I'll try to remember to ask Glyndwr again...

Lil, I believe that's some of H.R. Geiger's work. Was just looking at a book on him at Borders the other day...almost positive I saw that painting in the book.

I was lucky enought to spend some time at a wonderful Dali museum in south Fl. His works are truly mesmerizing when viewed in the flesh.

I cannot compete but I do dabble, this is one I did for horseman12. It is of Freckles, who he rode the most. ( until he met me)

One of my favorite paintings done by my favorite artist (Ocean Clark) was actually done on a person.
The picture of her is a little dark but it was a neat display.

He is the one who did the painting of me for my husband. (Pic in the coloring book thread)
