I have one of those key rings that seperates into two batches of keys.
On one ring I have my master keys to the buildings I manage.
On the other are the keys to the house, my Intrepid, and my wife's Windstar.

My key ring is from my Volvo dealership -- occasionally it's been helpful to have that number handy.
As for keys -- keys to my corp apartment (& mailbox), keys to my Columbus house, and a car key (yep -- you guessed it -- the Volvo). Boring, I know.

Lilith,
Car key, house key, safe deposit box key, and a very small pen knife are in my beat up key case.
I used to have a somewhat larger pen knife, but I forgot about it and booked a flight to LA...

...... the other has all my work keys on it, and the keyring is a miniature brake-disc & caliper!!
DM
jseal.... a "ute" is kinda the Aussie version of a pick-up, I think!! :)

I have a keyring with a moose, a present from Sugarfreecandy who was a pixies member till her parents found some of her naked pics on the puter when she was living at home. (she was 22 at the time LOL)
Anyway that is a little aside from the subject.
I have 3 rings in the key ring, one with my Subaru keys and car alarm device, one with work keys and the other has flat and shed keys.
Jseal ... DM is right in one way a ute ... short for a utility vehicle is what americans call a pickup. It is not the Aussie version of a pickup, the pickup is the American version of the ute.
In 1933 a Gippsland (In the State of Victoria) farmer's wife wrote a letter to Ford and she said "Can you build me a vehicle that we can go to church in on Sunday without getting wet, and my husband can use it to take the pigs to market on Monday?" So the idea of combining a car and a truck together was something that Lew Bandt, who then was the young designer of Geelong, came up with. He took the 1933 model coupe and built the back on it and strengthened the chassis so that it would carry the load, and it was approved and they went into production in 1934. From the front, it's just a very nice Ford coupe passenger car. At the back, of course, is the workhorse part of it, but inside this is exactly what the farmer's wife from Gippsland wanted. She wanted wind-up windows, she wanted comfortable seats, she wanted a roof that didn't let the rain in, and Lew Bandt provided just the car for her. The influence that Lew Bandt had on the Australian motor industry was tremendous, but he also had an influence right around the world because virtually every other manufacturer, certainly of popular cars, built a coupe utility and all of them were derived from the idea that Lew Bandt had in 1933.

Grumbleguts,
Quelle Horreur! The pickup truck is as American as, well, apple pie! What? Next you’ll be suggesting that apple pie is not native to the good ‘ol USA!
This cannot be! I’m gonna call my congressman! Yes siree, he’ll know what to do!
Harumph!
The pickup not American?
Well I never…

Oh boy...this question comes right as I have just gotten a shitload of keys!
2 keys for my parents house
1 car key for my Saturn
2 keys for work, plus I will be getting a third next week
4 keys for my new apartment (2 apartment/mailbox I will have regularly, but I am keeping the duplicate with me until I find a good place to put the other, or else I'll be giving it to my parents)
1 Luggage Key
Back in school I had a great lanyard thing that I'd use to keep them around my neck so I wouldn't lose them. However, I've had to give that up, otherwise I'd look like a jailkeeper! Right now I've got them on a ring with a watch keychain and a little Swiss Army Knife, plus all my grocery store keycards! :D

keyfob=alarm activator/deactivator, door lock/unlock and panic button
truck key
house key
shore house key
in-law house key
And actually....my keyfob is my identifiable key holder.
I used to have more shit than "Carter had liver pills" on it.....but hubby got confused whenever he had to use it....so I simplified!

I actually have three key rings, all together. One, the main one, is one of a Kokopelli (an Indian god of fertility) that I got on a very special trip to San Antonio three years ago. I also have a Mickey Mouse one with my first name's initial that I bought in Orlando when I visited my best friend a few years' back. The third one is a heart with the name of my child. There's also a grocery store savers card on there and my Blockbuster card.
As far as keys, I have one each to the cars, one to the back door, and one to the office at work, which they gave me on my first day five years ago. Boy, aren't they trusting?

All my keys are on one ring attached to a silver carabeener (sp?), house key, parent's house key, 2 mail keys, car key, and the remote door lock/car starter.

Holy shite! That's the second time in two days that I've seen this phrase! A columnist in the Toronto Star used it yesterday! Anyone know who in the hell Carter is?
It's something to do with an old product from the '60s?

I hesitate to ask what kind of keyring one would use for that!

*bump, just cause*
For kleclere's birthday last August, I gave him his "regular" presents...but, tucked inside his card on a ribbon, was a small key. I didn't have to tell him what it was...for weeks, when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he kept telling me "your heart." He immediately put it on his keyring, and it's remained there ever since.
Now if that ^^^ isn't so sweet you could just vomit... :p
Ok... seriously now,
Pay no attention to the faux callous words. That is very sweet.
But you said you gave him a small key IAK...
I'm certain a heart as big as yours must need one of those big keys they use when the mayor gives away 'the key to the city'.

LOL. It has to fit in the poor man's pants pocket, you know...and he already *has* something...sizeable...in his pants.
:D
Okay....I couldn't resist. ;)
And thank you.
