I can get with the Beatles' selections. I enjoy those albums, tremendously. As for the Stones, my preference is for "Tatoo You". The Clash pick is good, too. I like the Beach Boys, but I'm not really up on their stuff. "Back in Black" by AC/DC was very good. How about Tom Petty? The Kinks "Give the People What They Want". Dire Straits...I could go on and on, but I won't. Good picks for the Beatles. Pity Michael Jackson bought the rights.

I think the Police's "Synchronicity" should be there.

Good choices! I would agree with AC/DC and Police. It seems they have chosen nothing terribly recent:rolleyes:

FYI Lilith-----There was a song, actually titled "On the cover of the
Rolling Stone" by a group called Sgt. Peppers lonley(sp?)Hearts
Club band! They used to be one of my & my wifes favorite groups!
We got rid of,most of,our records, years ago & replaced most of
our records with CDs.They were not available.I don't even know
if the group exists anymore! Irish
P.S.I'm sorry! The group was "Dr. Hook & the medicine show."
Time has clouded my memory!

I remember Dr. Hooks'Cover of Rolling Stone. Aren't Record Albums worth some god money these days? Especially in mint condition. How about Bob Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone.

lakritze---Do you know,if Dr. Hook,is still together?I got rid of MOST of my records,years ago.I saved a few.After I wrote the
last thread,I looked them up.I still have(to mention a few),the old
"Sticky Fingers"album,by the Stones, with the zipper on the album
cover,The Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts Club by the Beetles,an album with Joe Cocker,on the cover, flexing his arm.He is skinny.I think it is"Mad Dogs & Englishmen."plus some others in storage.
We don't have a turntable,any more,so they haven't been used in
years! Irish
P.S.I also have most of Elvis's old albums.I started saving them when I was 15.I am now 59.

I'm surprised that neither Led Zepplin (The album untitled) or Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon) are in the list. AC/DC and The Police are good choices for sure. The Clash is a good choice, though it would not be in my personal top ten.

No Eagles?

No Pink Floyd?

No Black Sabbath or Ozzy?

No Peter Frampton?

No Van Halen?

NO AEROSMITH? (what about "Toys in the Attic" or "Just Push Play"....or ALL of them, even?)

No AC/DC?

No Mott The Hoople? (LOL! JK.....I just like typing Mott The Hoople!)

No Kiss? (even though I can't stand them...I'm shocked!)

There's more I could go on about, but I'm.......

London Calling is a classic song, ushering in punk if I'm not mistaken. I can see them being in the Top 20 at least.
