I'm thinking way too much about this!

Vampires can shapeshift yet can be killed by sunlight, crosses, holy water and wooden stakes.

Werewolves can be killed by silver, and only roam under the light of a full moon.

But then again, the humans that become werewolves can still kill the vampires. DAMN YOU! YOU'RE MAKING ME THINK!

Vampires, always. damn I loved that movie..... although the DW said she would rather be a lycan. I don't understand that urge, to be big hairy and howl at the full moon, why be immortal and hairy when you can be immortal and chic..... not only thta but Lycans can get overweight on their diet of red meat... have you ever seen a fat vampire? I think not!

And as for who would win? Lycans except in Alaska and anywhere else where darkness lasts for so long. The Lycanthropes could kill the vamps in their sleep. That was one of those things that bugged me in that movie.... why were the lycans underlings when they were awake more often? Were I a Lycanthrop fucking vamp would wake up to a UV bullet pointed at a vulnerable point. okay so I get into some stuff tooooo much!

As for myself... I have always been attracted to the Vampire lore... must be all the LUST they seem to possess..

im a big wolf buff.. but in this situation.. i'd chose vampyres.. werewolves have set strengths.. albiet they may be immortal.. but they are only so strong.. vampires strengths and weaknesses vary depending on how much they have fed lately.. so =)

bleh, no way, though I used to know some guys who were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far into Vampire:The Masquerade and, well lets just say they were regarded as FrEaKs. I hung out with them whether I believed it or not it was still interesting convo, one guy claimed to be a Lycan, none of them would ever touch me because I wore so much silver jewelry, so they said I think they were just afraid of my b/f at the time....

One guy I can remember standing in the back of a truck and him saying "can you smell it? the damned gangrel sewer dwellers are converging...." I'm just glad he didn't see the look on my face.

Yes it is a movie question. The movie in question is called Underworld. A fair movie about Vampires and Werewolfs with romeo and juliet complex.

I would have to say Vamps....they get way cooler powers. Plus they don't have to turn into smelly beast things once a month. And as an added bonus, they have their powers ALL MONTH LONG!..hehe

In UNDERWORLD, the vamps just seemed to be effete bloodsuckers

while the lycans lived a more real, gutsy life.

Let's see how Michael turns out in the (unavoidable) sequel.

I do agree the vamps were the sort of Rich Bitch Snooty types that most people don't like, but do you really want to live in a sewer?
