I received this email from one of the troops in the desert. I for one wouldn't like to have to sleep, knowing these things were lurking about.

I saw that too. I have never had arachnophobia but I think I do now. They look like crabs.

Those almost exceed the rule, “Do not be afraid of anything that is smaller than the footprint of your boot”.

Those wouldn't be smaller than MY footprint, that's for sure!

Maybe they'll go away if you just give them a camel?

ok,,, that does it... Now because of Nikki's comments I will never have a spider tattooed on my willy... I wouldn't want to scare her, especially since it would have the tendancy to grow larger in times of excitement.

good coverup! Irish
I agree with the crab theory. I say we boil 'em and melt up some butter sauce.

They don't look like they have much meat to them! Thank God!
Just out of curiosity (yeah I know curiosity can kill:rolleyes: ) I looked up the largest spider just to see what it does look like.
In case you're interested it's called the Goliath Birdeater (http://www.wcsscience.com/biggest/spider.html) .
