If it wasn't for BAD luck,I don't think that my kids would have any luck at all!
Yesterday,I got an e-mail,from my oldest daughter,at her work.It referred me
to our newspapers website. She is divorced & recently bought a house,in Milton NH.She shares custody,of her children(Boy & Girl)with her ex.The website, said that Milton, was struck with an electrical storm, with some lightening strikes. That's all the e-mail said. When my wife, got home, she told me that the lightening, had hit Colleens(oldest daughter) home, followed the stove lines & blew the knobs, right off of her stove. She had her kids & had just
lit the stove, for their breakfast. Her daughter & her, were about a ft. from the
stove.Luckily,they weren't hurt!The stove was ruined.She is covered,by a
homeowners policy, but has $500 deductibleIn the meantime, all are OK but,
probably, hungry. With car, property,& home payments,She is just making ends
meet.When it rains,it pours! Irish

You've got GREAT luck, Irish......daughter and grand baby are all right.. It could've been so much worse.
Sorry for the added stress, but I gotta figure that sometimes you HAVE to see the bright side, just to keep going ;).

GingerV---I thought of the same thing myself.Like you say,at least everyone
is OK.It's funny, the way you look at things! If it happens to you,you just shrug
& go about business but if it happens to your kids, you only see the bad side.

I'm glad your loved ones are ok, Irish. The rest can be fixed or replaced. It might not be cheap, but they are priceless.

Oh I got one for ya.........
Last week my neighbor came running over telling me one of my barns were on fire.I had just gotten undressed and was fixing to hit the shower. Well I jumped in the Blazer and drove to the barn. The grass was on fire 20 ft from a barn full of hay and a dump truck inside. I called the fire dept. There was no running water over there at the time. Drove back to get a gunny sack and water to try to head it off. but it was too big. A powerline was running thru some trees from one barn to another and I guess after all the years of rubbing it had snapped and fell against my steel corrals and was arcing. That caught the grass on fire. Luckily the fire dept got there in time to put it out. Come to find out my daughter had seen that line broken a week ago when she was riding her horse. That corral she was in was electrified!!!!! If she would have touched it she would be dead now! She never thought to tell me about it. On top of that my dear ex-husband I found out yesterday had cancelled my homeowners insurance! Wasn't that nice of him? My horse has come up lame and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where that hole came from in the bottom of his foot. He could not walk. Now I know..... He touched the fence. :( Yeah........ when it rains it pours doesn't it?

CGT---Your neighbor, set the grass fire.He waited to catch you undressed. He said that it was a LONG wait, but now he will have thoughts,to masturbate to,
for years. He told me not to tell you,but I just had to.Sounds like some of my "old" biker friends, would have liked to meet your ex! Irish :jester:

CGT---Sorry!It's easy to joke around, about someone elses problems.I'm sure
that your problem, was just as serious,to you,as mine was to me.
I was serious about your ex tho! Irish

Update:My daughter,e-mailed me yesterday,& said that, a male friend of hers,
thinks that he can fix her stove. It would save her money, but I know him.He
fixes things, like I do,-half assed. The stove would work, but maybe just if you do the right things. My LAST car, would pass inspection, but I had it "jury-rigged" so badly, that, probably,no one could drive it but me! Irish
