Lilith,
I had the same problem as TinglingTess. Took more than 2 mins to load here, while on the other tab, the BBC was normal.

Once you were here was it faster or taking 2 mins to load each page?

Lilith,
I solemly promise to take two minutes to fiddle with you whenever you ask.
...unfortunately, on the technical issue, the slow loading persisted for approx. 20 minutes.

but it's fine now??? Unfortunately we share a server with other large sites and so until things get sorted we will probably continue to have periods with lag time. Right now I have not had a page take more than 3 secs to load including Who's Online. If you can please note what time it is when you have a serious lag. Thanks!

at 12:29 a.m. it took 45 seconds for the first thread I clicked on to load.
Ohhhh and then I went to blondbabes thread to post a reply and it wouldn't let me add any smilies at all.
Lilith

It should allow you to use 4 ...I set a limit on the amount of smilies per post, if you tried to use more, it will deny the post.

I had went back and deleted all but one smiley and it still wouldn't take it. I guess it just got weird on me cuz everything is okay now.

Lil? What's the reason (give it to me in dumbass...not tekkyese...so I'll understand...lol!) that you stress that we should all be in "Pixies Place Forums vbulletin 3 Style"? I was curious because I can go a bit faster if I am set on "sitestyle" (for example) and keep replies to a thread at 20 as opposed to 30 or more. I was wondering if this is an example of the difference between dial-up and DSL...or whatever? I don't actually know what the style set is for, except that I have a different skin to look at. Soooooo...if I don't set it to "Style 3", what's the big deal?
Lilith

It may not matter but site style 3 includes the skin set up for this site as opposed to just the VB software. Actually as I got to thinking...it may be part of the problem not necesarily the solution. I don't know. I wish I were more techie. All I know is that the times you typically visit the site are not busy periods, nor are they terribly busy for the other sites on this server and so it makes no sense that it is a bandwith server issue. It's not slow because too many people are connected to it. And I still have little or no lag especially at times like right now. And I have it set to style 3... will continue to inform the new owners about it.

Well, I for one have experienced absolutely no (yet) slow down in page loading.
At least not since the upgrade unceremoniously booted my ass out! :p
