Didn't the idiot know you don't get your gear off until the plane hits cruising altitude?
What do they teach in Canada these days?

Just what was he refused a flight ticket for in the first place? Was he on that no flight list with people as diverse as Ted Kennedy and Cat Stevens?

No he was refused for not having a valid credit card. But i thought it was valid. They keep mailing me letters refering to it. So it is real in there mind too.

This isn't as isolated a case as it sounds! Upon FINALLY arriving at our destination on our trip to Key West recently, I was awakened the next morning by Mr. Lixy, who was watching a morning news story about a similar incident. Seems a man from the Dominican Republic wanted to stow away on an American Airline plane flying from the Dominican to South Florida with a lay-over somewhere along the line. He DID get into the wheel well of that plane and was discovered, dead, on it's arrival in Miami. They missed him in the lay-over check and up he went again, still in the wheel well. Anyway...they said the same thing about the dangers. He may have died from the wheel extraction, or from the cold when up so high. An autopsy was preformed, but I never heard the outcome.
While we watched this, after our fiasco of bumped flights and peculiar explainations of the bumps, we were sure this had been the reason for our delays. Come to find out it was that very morning and not the previous day that this was all discovered. But, I'm still pretty sure it may have played some role in our frustration!
I feel like Oliver North when I say shit like that...lol!

I heard about this guy on the news yesterday and thought "what an idiot" he should have realised that the best way was to put a cape on THEN run down the runway

On a serious note:
"he managed to climb over an airport fence, topped by three strands of barbed wire, without injury"
this causes a bit of concern... if this poor misguided soul acomplished this.. what about those that are hell bent on terror? Just a thought to consider...
I think someone needs to sharpen that barbed wire at the very least.. .

They need a perimeter fence filled with nice 'friendly' doggies.....the chunks missing should be an indicator that someone came in the way they were'nt sposed to!

Now we understand why he wasn't given rights to a Ticket. (DF) No telling what he'd of done on the Airplane.
