Has anyone used any over the counter teeth whitening products or toothpastes that they'd recomend. I'm always loath to try them because I'm afraid they'll make my teeth hurt. I don't need drastic whitening. But my love of iced tea as left them a bit dull. And reviewes would be very helpfull.:bite:

Thanks All!!

I've used whitening toothpaste before, and have never noticed any sort of pain or discomfort from using them. Can't really speak for the whitening strips stuff, though.

I have used the crest whitestrips and had great results, I used the one that does it in 7 days but ended up taking 10 days for me because after the first few days I couldnt put them on my teeth twice a day like your supposed to because of the sensitivity factor so I spread it out to 1 time a day for the last few days. It wasn't to unbearable but I have very sensitive teeth in the first place so it was just enough to make me slow down on the use a bit, but if you don't have overly sensitive teeth you should be ok.
I use a whitening toothpaste like colgate ot whatever to maintain the work I did on my teeth, I am also a fellow tea drinker so you could say I am addicted to whitening toothpastes to help keep my teeth nice looking.... good luck

ive used whitening toothpastes and the crest whitening strips as well as those stupid 'paint on' whiteners. I don't really drink coffee or have soda, and I don't smoke..I just want realy white teeth! I haven't seen as much of a difference with using these products just b/c I don't have much more whitening needed, although it's fun lol and makes me feel better about my slightly crooked teeth!

I use the Crest Whitening Expressions toothpaste (the cinnamon rush one), and I've had more than one compliment about my teeth since I started. My family has really noticed a difference... My dentist told me that just sleeping with your mouth open could yellow your teeth, and I'm guilty of this as well of drinking soda, so I'd say the toothpaste is excellent! I haven't noticed any more sensitivity than before.

I have no personal experience with teeth whitening products. But, if you have AOL, click on the "Video @ AOL" icon and select SEARCH, then type in "teeth whitening" to view the video, "America's Obsession with Whiter Teeth". That video will discuss some concerns about teeth whitening and possible negative effects. The video is a CNN video by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, but I couldn't find it when I went to cnn.com.

The best product for keeping your pearly whites as clean as possible and it helps remove stains from coffee, tea and cigarettes is a box of good old fashioned Baking Soda.It helps keep breath kissing fresh too.
