Great News!

This morning, my boyfriend and I signed a lease on a 2 bedroom apartment together for the fall. We've been together since November and practically live together now as it is, so it was the next logical step for us. I just wish we didn't have to wait until August. :)

I'm just thrilled about this and couldn't wait to share this with my Pixies friends. :jump:

Any fun stories about your first experiences living with someone?

How wonderful, BCG!

Kleclere and I planned for months for the big move, although we weren't exactly sure *when* it would happen. When everything kind of came together, we knew the time was right. However, for the first two weeks, neither one of us had moved our "big stuff" like furniture...so we slept on an air mattress, with a small TV on a milk carton and DVD player as our entertainment. :D

The stray cat I picked up peed on the heater and we almost lost our security deposit. :rolleyes2

And we could hear the people in the apartment below us having sex. :hot: :D

Mr. Lil and I had a roommate who would leave condom wrappers all over the dining room floor and lock his naked girl friend out on the front lawn. We got married on the 20th and his lease was up end of the month :p

Mr. Osuche and I lived with three- and sometimes 4 - other engineers in a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment. We lost one roomate because he hated my cat. :D We lost another one (who was desperately shy) because he caught me streaking from the bathroom to my bedroom one day. The other two we got along with great and we lived together for 2 more years -- although once they admitted that they could hear Mr. Osuche and I having sex (our room was on the 2nd floor) -- my husband got so embarrassed that he didn't talk to them (or me) for a week. He's very private, Mr. Osuche. ;)

He now jokes that I drove all his roomates away. :D It's not true, of course. :D

((((BCG))))!!!! Oh the fun you are going to have hun! I'm so happy for your happiness! Can't wait to hear the moving stories and the "new surroundings ghost stories" (<----houses settle...so remember that!...lol)

OK...so if the family below you has children...and the youngest son can't remember to pull back his foreskin and wash completely...and you hear his mom threaten to "come in there and do it for him"...it's time to go out for a night on the town! Got it? Cause...if you stay and have to listen to that argument...every single time you see said child (of about 10-12)...you're gonna wanna barf!

ROFLMFAO!

I swear...it's the truth...the whole truth...and nothing but the truth...so help me Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Hope all goes without a hitch for ya hun!

Congratulations! :line:

The first apartment my hubby and I got after getting married was above a hairdresser's. There were two store fronts and two apartments. The hairdresser and his wife lived in the other and we shared the basement for doing laundry....

So as per the norm on a Saturday morning I ventured down to the basement with a huge basket of laundry. As I reached the bottom of the stairs I heard a noise but kept walking over to my washer. The noise got louder and startled me enough to turn around to see what it was....

Running towards me from under the basement stairs came 12 chickens racing about wildly while I screamed and screamed and screamed (chickens chased me as a kid) I found the courage to run past these monsters and breathlessly got up to my apartment.

Gasping for breath looking like I had seen a ghost my husband, ever so concerned calmed me down enough to ask me what was wrong.....

I was crying but I managed to get out that a bunch of chickens were chasing me in the basement. He told me to smarten up and quit shooting the shit and tell him what happened. It took me forever to convince him to go down and see.

Well he went to hairdresser(remember it was a busy Saturday) and walked in and yelled to the guy, "Hey! Are those your chickens in the basement?" The hairdresser denied there were any there and so my hubby went downstairs and presented one to him...they were gone within the hour (probably in their freezer)

Congrats BlondeCurlGirl, I hope your move is easy and you have a wonderful time living together. :)

Everyone's stories are so great. :thumb:

Stud and I moved in two weeks to the day we met to our first apartment. Well, we were so in LOVE that working didn't seem to be important to us. So we lost the apartment the first month and moved in with his parents in their too small of a trailer.

We slept in the bedroom with the waterbed and one day a few weeks later his dad said he always knew when we had sex because the trailer would get to rockin.

We learned to work and got our own place again fast!
