Ok now that most of the gift giving has come and gone. What gift suprised you the most? Whether it be a card from an old friend or a kiss under the misletoe or even that fancy BIG diamond ring you had your eye on for about a decade. What surprised you the most?
Mine came in the mail. It showed me that I did make an good impression on someone. Thanks. (You know who you are ;) ).

My in-laws gave me mononucleosis
and sleeping sickness
Sleeping sickness is a lot more cute than the pic on the web makes it out to be.

Awwwwwwww...so sorry you aren't up to par! Wishing you a speedy recovery hun!
I got some kick-ass jeans (Mr. Lixy actually picked out several pair. He's usually sucky at clothes choices for me!!! <---hopes he doesn't see that) and a pair of diamond earrings (<---gorgeous), but the biggest surprise and most heartfelt gift was a pair of pj's...FINALLY! I've told that man-o-mine since I've known him (18+ years) that I ALWAYS looked forward to X-mas morning while growing up because Mom would always make sure we had a new pair of jammies, a robe and slippers. Never...NOT EVER...in all the Christmas mornings I've spent with hubby, did he remember the snuggies that exude love more to me than any bauble ever could. Till this year, that is!
I LOVE THAT MAN-O-MINE!!!!!!!!!!

I got two gifts for Christmas.... a Swatch watch from Mr. Osuche (which I helped pick out) -- because my old one was falling apart. And a $100 check from my mom, with instructions to spend it on something frivolous. :D
Both were appreciated.

My biggest surprise was a new kick ass digi cam from the Hubby. I think we wore the old one out this year with baby pics. I hope to break it in soon and catch up on some pic posting. It's been awhile.

Mrs. WI got me some bright yellow flannel pajama pants with smilie faces all over them that made me laugh out loud.
And I got a packaging tin that used to contain the kind of tobacco my grandfather used to pack his pipe with. It was very thoughtful and touched me to the point of sniffling.

Gift card to get my hair done. :)
A set of nice towels ... I know it sounds very practical, but I had just thought about a week or so before Christmas that I really needed to buy a new set of towels for my bathroom, because all of my towels are a bit disreputable looking these days and wanted a new set to put out as "for show" - didn't ask for them - which is what makes it nice!

Hmmmmm . . . I think it was getting a computer from friends in three states (with the potential use of a nearby Pixies' pick-up abilities ;)).
I thought they were sending fruitcake or something but nope, it was two GIGANTIC boxes unloaded from a DOLLY that my boyfriend got to lug up three flights of stairs (thank God I was at work & missed that fun!)
Un-freaking-believable.
But no ditch weed. *shrug*
Maybe next year? :D
