We have seen in the past that we have quite a few creative ones in our Pixies family! I'd like to know - what kind of arts and crafts do you make? Do you sew, paint, do woodcrafts, etc? Please feel free to post pictures of anything you made!!!
I love beads!!! I like any kinds of beads but I think my fave must be seed beads! In the photo I am attaching, there are a few of the necklaces I've made in the last year. The first is crocheted wire, the second is African net and the third and fourth are African helix (these last two are actually hollow tubes).

VERY cool, PS!!!! Now I know what African net and African helix are. Maybe a thread showing how they look on you now. ;)

What great things!
I'm not so talented myself. I like to do the scrapbookin' stuff, but haven't had much time to sit down ALONE and do it lately, for some reason

I would just like to say....I love talented people! Both the pics are beautiful.
I used to make music, not crafts...but with work and school, I don't have time recently. :(

Oh, I still make music, whenever I get the chance...but somehow that doesn't take good pictures...

It's certainly not the best one I've made, but it's the only one I have a pic of to hand....I'm still very much an amateur, but it's hard to get the practise in with all the other things I should be doing!

It's not really arts or crafts...but it's what I spend my "free" time doing.

Very cool stuff, scotz, Loulabelle and WildIrish!!! IMW, I have absolutely no talent when it comes to scrapbooking!
Here is a picture of my latest necklace, that I just finished this morning.
(BTW, Lou, if you need someone to eat those cakes... :D)

I wish I were good at making ... anything! I can do online graphics and things like that, but for the most part, I'm pretty much not crafty. My mom is in the process of making a quilt for me right now, and I'd looove to be able to sew, but I just am not good at it. I haven't got the patience to sit and do crafts, methinks.
But all of the things I've seen here? Great! I'm a little jealous.

I think I've posted one or two of these pics before, but since you asked....here's a few samples of what I do to keep busy and off the streets. ;)
The first pic is an afghan I crocheted for my son's wedding present last February.
The second is a Granny Square afghan I took my time with and finally finished 9 yrs after starting to crochet the squares.
The third is a little afghan I crocheted for my niece last year.
The fourth is a quilt top I pieced but haven't gotten quilted yet.
And finally is a winter hat I knitted for my hubby.
Hey Scotz......I've still got your windchimes hanging on my porch. I'll have to check out your ebay auctions for the spinners. I don't have one yet, and what kind of a redneck can I be without at least one hanging on my trailer roof?? LOL :D

Before i had my heart won over to biology education, I was double majoring in Art and English Secondary education. (Although you could say that i am still an apt pupil of English ;) ) I love to draw, paint, sculpt, photography, flower arrange, decorate homes, stamp, ceramics, make hemp necklaces, make second hand furnature into "new" items, gardening, landscaping, and even snow sculpting!
I don't have any specific pictures of my work other than my dragon tattoo. Most of us Pixies regulars have seen it. I designed my other tattoos as well.
PixieSprite~Those are gorgeous! The last one is my favorite
Scotz~I love those spinners! Great for garden decorations *ahem* one of the things i like to do!
IWM~I love the way scrapbooking looks, and how it really spices up regular snapshots!
Osuche~What music do you do? what do you play? Right now, I am *trying* to teach myself piano. Quite different from the tuba that i used to play.
Lou~ Awesome cake! Were the soccer balls candles? I have a hankering for some frosted cake now!
WI~Your "art" really touches the heart and soul. Seeing that made me a bit weepy as i have been without a home, and really do understand how the new home owner feels. Good Job!
Sassee~I'd love to see a sample of your online graphics!
Sugarsprinkles~WOW! Gorgeous gifts of warmth! I crochet too, mostly pot holders and scarves though, lol

Yes Lizz....Fussy found them and they were the perfect way to finish of a rather plain design...but it was commissioned to be just what it is, so I didn't have much choice in it. It's a Brighton Town FC shirt.
Lots of talent on this page!
Awesome stuff!

I love this thread. I'm into artsy things in general. But my newest thing is Digital Scrapbooking. You can see a sample of my work here (http://www.gottapixel.net/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/4446/sl/e)

As many of the "old timers"know,I build custom "chopper" motorcycles.I have
owned two shops,in two different towns.I have done it for years, but have only done it,for a business,in this state.I am currently building a chopper
"Trike",to take to my other home in W.Melbourne Fla.I have Diabetic
Neuropothy now, that mainly effects my legs & feet.I figure that a "Trike",
would be more stable for them. You wouldn't believe, how much, the parts
prices have gone up,but I've been riding for over 46yrs now & it's in my
blood. Irish :D

Lizz-- I actually play tuba, too! LOL. While I play 5 instruments (tuba, trombone, euphonium, french horn, and violin), my fave thing is to play jazz on my trombone...I used to have a group and we'd get together and play.
I'm not the greatest, but man I have heart. LMAO. :D
