View Full Version : Getting a divorce

I didn't know where else to post this. This is where I hang out the most.
Hubby and I have been have problems for quite some time. He thinks everything is fine, everything that's wrong in our marriage is somehow my
fault. So I've decided to ask him for a divorce. He'll be getting a letter from my lawyer over this week-end.
I'm not feeling very sexy lately. Reading through my old posts and private messages has helped me to feel a little better in that regard. (We haven't had sex in 6 months)
Thanks you for all you kind, encouraging comments. I didn't realize how valuable I would find them until now. I'll still be around, maybe not for a while though.
I will let you know how it goes this week-end. My 15 yr. knows, my 11yr. old doesn't, I'm going to tell him tomorrow, before the letter arrives.
Thank you again for being there for me.

It's always sad to see love end. But a relationship without love is not existing to it's full potential, and people need love in their lives.
I wish you well.

After almost 5 years here with you, I can say be strong and kind to yourself and be unkind to no one. Your trail may be uphill, but we and many others are at the end. :console:

I'm new, but I also want to wish you well. I can say from recent and unpleasant experience that life is Waaayyy too short to spend it on things that aren't fulfilling.
I hope you have a lawyer who is good, and not needlessly looking for conflict.
And your kids will of course be both upset and your greatest source of comfort in the months ahead.
Good luck with it all.

You're about to swim through the biggest bucket of shit and come out the other side stronger and happier.
There are very few good divorces, please make this one of them.
This is always presuming that the letter doesn't jolt open a session of communication with healing results.

Going through soemthing similar, my thoughts are prayers are with you. It is not easy, especially when your children are involved.
((((((((PW))))))))) I've been there. You have to do what makes you happy and fulfilled, even when it hurts like hell to do it. You will fine. :)

I used to be the "stay married at all costs" kind of guy for many years. Happiness and peace are more important though. It's a big step and one that you appear to be comfortable with for your own situation.
Blessings upon you and may the decision you make never be second-guessed by anyone!
