On a few occasions, for one reason or another, one of our Pixies will not be on line for a while. They may not be able to be with us as they would like, but they often are able to contact one of us and would like to pass a message to the other Pixies.

I want to at least leave a thread where such messages can be passed on. When they want to make a special statement or just say "hi" to all of us, they can have it posted here. We'll see if this has any working use.

~BiBi~

Bibi says "hi" to all her Pixie friends :) and that she misses most of you ;)

She hopes to get out .... I mean, be online again in another 30 days or so. :D

( I could have fun with this too  )

Great idea PF! Can we suggest that it be made a "Sticky" thread?

Hiya BIBI...We're keeping your seat warm!

"Stop that PF! Putting all that sticky stuff on BIBI's chair wasn't what I meant and it'll be cooled down by the time she gets back anyway!" Geezzzzzzz!

For those of you who frequent OWC, Joey won't be around for a while due to family issues. He said he'd check in occasionally. I know everyone loves him and "Elmo" and if I hear from them I'll let you all know. It could be a month...could be 3 months...he wasn't sure. :boohoo:

thank you all so much! :x:

i can't believe how much better this recovery is going. with the boy it took weeks. i could hardly move. climbing the stairs or getting into bed were out of the question for so long. this time around, i hardly felt much pain after just a few days even though the surgery took lots longer because of the tubal, the dermoid cyst (the pathology showed hair in it! eww, gag, heave :p). turned out i also had placenta previa, not just low-lying placenta. i kept telling the docs something didn't feel right this time around but never really got anywhere with it. guess i wasn't squeaky enough. then i started to loose my mucus plug and it went on for days, so i did get really squeaky about that. i kept saying it was possible that membranes had ruptered but weren't leaking because of the low-lying placenta and with strep b, i didn't want to take any chances AT ALL. doc fortunately sent me for a nonstress test and fluid level check a few days before the surgery. fluid was OK, but that's when they discovered the placenta previa. i was so glad i insisted because it meant i needed to deliver in the regular OR, instead of maternity OR, and prompted my doc to have another sugeon assist, instead of a nurse. they all took such great care of me in there because of the possible complications, and i'm positive that's why recovery is so much easier this time 'around.

serendipity baby!

Teddy Bear

(((((wyndhy)))))... so glad to hear everything went so well! All the best to you and your growing family! *huggss* to the baby!!!

Coaster hope you have gotten rid of your cold..... 70 hour weeks??!!?? STOP that right now!! You know what they say: All work and no play makes Coaster a dull boy. Go out and play once in awhile eh. ;)

UpDate on teddy: My body decided to have an allergic reaction to an antibiodic i've been on twice before with no problem! *Adds it to the allergy list* So i have this really attractive but super itchy rash going on. The doc put me on steroids, good for allergic reactions.... Maybe Arnold the Governator can give me some weight lifting tips. :) lol

LOL..... I called PF shortly after I got home today. He asked if I'd read his post yet. I said I hadn't, should I be worried?......... to which he just laughed!

Ya know, I need to go to a different hospital. There weren't any young interns or male nurses worth a second look. :( Great doctors and nurses but if I'm gonna vacation with anybody I'll pick a Pixie over them any day!

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. I checked into hospital Thursday afternoon and got home Wednesday afternoon.... Way toooo long! The drive home exhusted me and I've been sleeping. Still on antibiodic for another 10 days. But I AM HOME!!!!!!! YIPPIE!!

No, Balticon is B-more's regional s/f convention. This one is Balticon 50, so the powers what is are trying to get as many of the past GoHs as possible to show up for it. In addition, this year we have as our Guest of Honor George RR Martin; consequently, the venue has changed to a largest hotel, with several overflow hotels within walking distance.

My particular job there is to run logistics between the prep room & the con suite/green rooms. Oh, what fun.

While I am always open to others' POVs, and would love to learn the answer to your question (who wouldn't?), Dr. Siegel usually limits his blogging to astrophysical topics.
