Lilith,

And worth every penny – at least to someone! :)

This is the 240th anniversary of Christie's (http://www.pixies-place.com:81/forums/showthread.php?p=1318688#post1318688) first auction.

The real question is, why can't I get someone to pay an outrageous price for something I own?

Do you have a waffle that looks like Jesus?

It is a simply gorgeous dress.....but OMFingG!

Still, if it was the _magic_ dress that could make me look like the ever elegent Audrey I might just start taking out loans ;).

I wonder what you'd get for the pot of gold paint from Goldfinger?

Should surprise no one here that I was drawn to the musical memorabilia at the bottom of the article...it was a surprise to me that one of Morrison's obscure poems sold for over 4x the estimate, but Sir Paul's shining twisted lyrics about a happy-go-lucky serial killer fell short

Scotz,

A victim of the hammer itself, perhaps?

Perhaps.

I'm also the kind of guy who wonders if the new owner of Jimi's guitar will ever plug it in & crank it up...& then I wonder if he's a lefty, & could truly appreciate the modifications...
