John Camron Mitchell's SHORT BUS yet? I am so curious. In L.A.it is only showing in two theatres,both are on the other side of town. Tristan Taramino gave it a good review in the Village Voice.

Not yet. It is one of those flicks I promised myself I "will get around to" and it closed here before I did! :(

How pathetic am I? I love movies, pretty much all movies, but since becoming a parent I haven't gotten to see 1/4 of what we used to go to and I don't even keep up on things.

That being said I haven't even heard of this movie. Though if Tristan Taurmino gave it a good review I would probably like it. I love Tristan.

EDIT: Oops looked it up on IMDB, and I did read the review of it in the paper and I was VERY interested in seeing it.

Yeah I've seen it. It's ok - not as great as many people see to think though. It wasn't particularly political, more social I guess. It was a great way to show - simply, plainly and honestly, how sex features in many people's lives. I should warn, though, that it's probably more 'gay' than straight - so anyone not wanting to see lots of penises and lots of naked men fucking each other, probably not a good film for you. But it wasn't 'shocking' or 'obscene' - it was just sex, and people having sex.

Good for its honesty, upfrontedness and simplicity, but kind of lacking in anything deep or meaningful.

But I guess everyone will get different things from it.
Worth seeing in any case!
