Tricky question for me...I mostly listen to mp3 these days, just select tracks from CDs & downloads (yes, I'm in the 21st century now, but still mostly listen to 20th C. music)...also been copying my vinyl to digital, which I then make a CD-RW in order to rip to my puter library. So, on that basis, I guess the last CD I listened to was "Nearly Human" by Todd Rundgren. Before that was "A Wizard/A True Star" & the double set "Something/Anything?", also by TR.

Hopefully I haven't killed another thread.... :whack:

I have a bit of Pink of Floyd, but not Echoes. The Wall, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and Division Bell are the only ones I have.

Meatloaf- Bat Out of Hell 3 for me."Echoes" was a xmas request from mrs zoid, & something I listen to parts of because it's there & convenient; the archivist in me has some issues with it - it's all out of order chronologically, & the 2 major long tracks (Shine On & Echoes) have been trimmed down a bit (at least I think they have - haven't been able to confirm yet). I have all the Floyd you mentioned, except Division Bell, on LP or some kind of tape (in fact Momentary Lapse was the last LP I got before giving in to CD), just haven't got around to converting them as yet.

BTW, Bat Out of Hell(I) was produced by my fav Todd Rundgren, mentioned previously.

I have all the Bat out of Hells. 2 and 3 are my favorites. Most of my collection is rock from that era, though I have a bit of country. Pretty much all I listen to.

No, Who is way down the alphabetical list on the mp3, I'm usually asleep when that rolls around, & anyway, "Who Are You?" is all I've got there anyway.

HoJo was the keyboard whiz kid of the eighties, with a string of synth-pop hits: What is Love?, Life in One Day, No One Is To Blame, & a remake of Donald Fagen's (Steely Dan) "IGY (What a Beautiful World)"...the drawback of Hojo's version was that he sang it like he really believed in its optimistic vision of the future, as opposed to Fagen's snarling sarcasm.

Could be worth the effort, or it could just remind you too much of your parents' music. I dunno. I have the "best of" CD in my collection, & I'll be damned if I remember why I thought it was worth the $$$ i paid for it, & now I wonder the same thing about why it ended up on my mp3.

On the Who joke, I must give credit to the University of Tel Aviv for granting permission to copy it off of a 4th century BC urn...
