Today...more than any other, I miss my father. He loved Thanksgiving. So the day, although lovely, is colored with sad.

Someone I have known for 8 years just confided the most horrific thing happened to him nearly 20 years ago. I am soooooooooooo sad, I can not even imagine how he stands upright daily.

If it's something your father would have enjoyed, just imagine him at the table having fun. That's a recipe for joy, not sadness.

After a variety of tests, my BIL was admitted at Georgetown Medical earlier this morning. He's not doing well.
