Romans had been renting a room at the Romero house, prosecutors said. Both men were employees of a construction company working at a power plant near St. Johns.

Giving up something that's been a part of my life for a long time.

Well, then I know it's not your sanity.

Talking to my vet about my dog's health issues.

Just got the news about an hour or so ago, due to the weather currently and the forecast for the rest of the week, my boss has decided to end the season 2 weesk earlier than expected and laid everyone off. Ah, the joys of being a landscaper in Iowa :(

What crap news, I'm sorry you've been laid off :( Hope you find some more work soon.

What made me sad today? Having to find a quiet spot on my own in which to observe the two minutes' silence as the people I was with didn't seem to grasp that they were supposed to stop talking :ranting:

Finding out that my dear neighbor passed away yesterday.

OMG....Frieda?

IowaMan 11-14-2008 08:44 AM

Yes, she's been quite ill for some time now and had been in a care center for the last almost two months. :(

It just breaks my heart.

Conversation with a friend :boohoo:

One of the neighborhood kitties sitting at the front door of my neighbor's house waiting for her to give him a treat. Poor thing doesn't realize she's not coming home. :(

in the last three months or so I've had to put down a (relatively) healthy 2 year old dog for unprovoked aggression, and lost my first cat, he was alway slight, my little black cat, would ride on my shoulder such a mommas boy. My other indoor cat is a mess, he's usually very standoffish, not friendly in the least....he's been very needy, touching me constantly, curled up by or on me, talkin (miao'ing) to me....sigh. poor Rocky.

RIP Rune

I had surgery this morning, and while I was in pre-op, it became clear that the lady in the area next to mine had lost a baby. I was so sad for her.
