dicksbro 03-24-2014 03:47 AM

My back is hurting a bit this morning. :(

Jax 03-24-2014 09:59 PM

A little pissy that the reality is - I'm not perfect. And even though no one is, I still hate it. Being thin skinned sucks. Oh well. Life goes on, and in a week (or a few days) this will be behind me. Shoot. Maybe this was Shout Box.

Jax 03-25-2014 09:14 PM

I'm completing the emotional cycle and have moved to annoyed. However...as OF once posted to me....something like..."if it's true, face into it and accept it, and if it isn't true...then just say F'it and move on." Sage advice. Some of what I am annoyed about is true and some isn't. But deal with it is the bottom line for sure.

BIBI 03-31-2014 04:02 PM

makes me sad that people seemed to have left here once again now that the site is back up and running......

ShadowDancer 03-31-2014 04:28 PM

Im sad that my husband was kicked out of Physical Therapy from an excellent facility only because we were forced to file bankruptcy due to TWO hospital bills over $100,000 each from his accident last summer...since he has no income now & has yet to be approved for disability. This is very disheartening for him.

sodaklostsoul 03-31-2014 05:21 PM

It was 70 at 1pm and now its 45 and too windy to play with the dog outside. Suppose to be 15 overnight. CRAZY!!!!

Lord Snow 03-31-2014 07:45 PM

Shadowdancer, it takes a long time for the disability process. Shouldn't the insurance companies be handling the hospital bills though?

Oldfart 04-01-2014 07:02 AM

What LS ^^^^^^ said.

Yes for the most part...but not all of them. The joys of copays and patient responsibility. However, we took the letter we received this weekend and went and talked to a lady at the Rehab place just a couple of hours ago...and all is well with our world, at least as far as his therapy, for now.

Lord Snow 04-01-2014 07:39 PM

Well if all the medical bills are caused by the car accident (if I'm correct in that it was the other person's fault) then the car insurance company of the other person should be footing the bill. Not your own medical insurance and certainly not you.

ShadowDancer 04-01-2014 10:00 PM

LS, there was no other person involved. It was a single car accident that was caused when my husband fell asleep driving home from work. He was working 2 jobs and only getting about and hour or 2 of sleep between the 2. He went off road, into a ditch, hit a concrete culvert and jumped a drive way for a business--landing about 50 ft from where the truck initially left the road. He was hauling a load of furniture (we were moving at the time) and the impact in the ditch caused the sofa he was hauling to slam into the cab of the truck (separating the bed from the cab a good 2-3 inches) which broke his back. The insurance on the truck has already paid out their max of $5000--and that barely covered the ambulance ride and time spent in the ER. So, tomorrow, Apr 2 is officially 9 mos since the accident. He's MUCH better now...but no where near "normal". We have a whole new "normal"...and have had to get "creative" in some areas of our relationship/lives. But it is what it is and I'm just 100% thankful he's still with me and our kids.

Lord Snow 04-02-2014 09:26 AM

Oh. I was unaware that it was a single car accident. As far as family life, you'll get it all figured out with enough time. Here's hoping to the financials working out with enough time as well.

Lilith 04-04-2014 12:49 PM

One of the soldiers killed at ft. Hood was from STO's small home town.

Oldfart 04-08-2014 02:22 AM

I just realised that Russell Johnson, the Professor from Gilligan's Island, passed away January 16th 2014.

dicksbro 04-12-2014 12:27 AM

Seeing that WI had that accident. :(

I keep saying ... people should wear bubble-wrap when they go out. That way, the bubbles help to protect them in an accident, and, their popping alerts others that someone needs help.

AZRedHot 04-12-2014 12:33 AM

Jesse Winchester passed away today. :(

PantyFanatic 04-12-2014 02:34 PM

Just alerted to a 8.3 shake in the Solomon Islands. :yikes: This is not going to be good. :(

Fangtasia 04-12-2014 05:11 PM

I head back to hospital in Wednesday, day surgery. Well providing they don't find anything it will be *sigh* I am really REALLY over hospitals at present!

Downgraded to 7.6, but as it comes on the heels of major flooding, it's a muddy, shaken mess.

dicksbro 04-13-2014 12:54 AM

Hearts go out to the folks living in the Solomons. Never good ... this must be especially devastating for them. :(

jseal 04-13-2014 04:31 AM

My BIL is back in the hospital.

Oldfart 04-13-2014 05:27 AM

Again? It is that nurse, isn't it?

Lilith 04-15-2014 06:47 PM

Standing on the outside looking in

BIBI 04-15-2014 07:21 PM

I am missing someone...

Oldfart 04-15-2014 08:15 PM

Aim right, and slightly higher.

jseal 04-21-2014 04:15 PM

My BIL is on his last legs in the ICU.

Oldfart 04-21-2014 05:41 PM

He's had a horrible time medically.

How are you and yours coping? (Almost a silly question, but not quite).

Lilith 04-21-2014 06:52 PM

Sorry to hear that jseal

sodaklostsoul 04-21-2014 08:29 PM

Sorry jseal

BIBI 04-21-2014 10:46 PM

Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law jseal....it is a tough thing to go through for any family.

Yes, Johnny's had a very tough time of it.

It made for a relatively somber Easter gathering on Sunday.

AZRedHot 04-22-2014 08:22 PM

I'm sorry, Jseal. Sending you and yours wishes for peace, in time.

jseal 05-13-2014 03:36 AM

Johnny passed away yesterday morning. He was a pleasant soul, and we'll miss him.

Oldfart 05-13-2014 04:42 AM

I hope that the joy of knowing he's no longer suffering will balance the sadness of his loss.

ShadowDancer 05-13-2014 05:44 AM

My husband's Grandma passed away late Sunday night...a sad ending to Mother's Day & a sad beginning to our Anniversary.

BIBI 05-13-2014 06:14 AM

Sorry for your losses, jseal and shadowdancer....

Cyberdude26 05-13-2014 08:20 AM

Echo Bibi's sentiments. Sorry for your losses.
