PF, I too was concerned about breakage before I received it... I wouldn't suggest throwing it down on concrete, but they are rather durable and you would need incredibly strong pelvic muscles to break it. It's solid glass not hollow, think paperweight in a different shape. Now that I own two, I'm not the least bit concerned about breakage and little splinters of glass ending up in unmentionable places.

And on the plus side, Maddy, you now have two heavy 'paperweight' type objects by the bed, perfect should you ever need a self defence weapon in the case of intruders!

The good glass dildos are made of solid Toughened Pyrex Glass. You would really have to abuse it a lot with something hard before you would damage it. (Like dropping it from over 3 meters onto concrete perhaps)..

At the Sydney Sexpo, they were demonstrating the toughness at one stand by dropping one from about chest height straight onto the floor tiles. (repeatedly)


So, as long as you don't drop it, inspect it for any chips/nicks before use, theres no serious safety issues with Pyrex Glass.

Frankly, I have more concerns with the Latex and some of the dodgy plasti compounds that some dildoes are made of!
