I don't know anyone who fits that description |
I guess when I reach 85 (if I make it) I'll say what I darn well want to. SEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEXSEX. So there .................... :kissass: J/k Mae ................. but really .............. think about it ...................... at 85, anyone at that age really can't do much but talk about it anyway. (not to be rude to anyone over that age) I say let them talk and stick some cotton in your ears if it offends you. :console:

No offense taken. I just find it interesting that the men make a beeline for me and that is usually one of the first things out of their mouths. The best one was the 92-year-old gentleman who asked me to visit him at his house and rearrange his accoutrments. (sp?) Unfortunately, I did have to go to his house, as I know his daughter. She wasn't there and he answered the door in a pair of bikini underwear. Yeppers. Didn't fit right, either.

Your comment got me to wondering if, should I ever reach that venerable age, I should plan on doing nothing but talking the rest of my life. Lo and behold: "There's really no physiologic or anatomic reason why a healthy man who takes good care of himself, and who doesn't have attendant medical problems, shouldn't be able to have a very fulfilling and active sexual life," says Dr. David Kaufman, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. "29% of men and 25% of women over the age of 80 are still sexually active" according to Dr. Patricia Bloom of Mount Sinai-New York University Medical Center. Dr. Kaufman continues, "The more you use your erection, the better it will become. That has a lot to do with the oxygenation of the smooth muscle that is really the basis of an erection. The benefit is, the more sex you have, and the better blood flow that results from this sex, the better quality your erection's going to be. So, guys, get with it!!! |
WOW! :faint:

I'm only 65 and I'm glad my mind still works since nothing else does.

I've heard it said that mental stimulation can be equivalent to or surpass physical stimulation at times. What is the consensus here?

I've been thinking about this for a while since you posted and I did come to another possible conclusion for why these men are making inappropriate comments to you.
While I personally have not encountered many 80-odd year olds who behave like this towards me, they are of a generation where political correctness, sexual harrassment etc are alien terms. Back in their day, making lewd comments to the secretary in their office, a waitress in an often frequented diner or even a nurse in hospital were probably far more 'the norm' for some men at least. I don't doubt that there are a lot of younger men now, who'd probably still behave like that today, if it weren't for fear of litigation, and thankfully, it's what the sexual harrassment laws were put in place for (not for the innocent comment that the company secretary always wears nice shoes etc). I respect that elderly people have every right to be as sexual as younger people (I know I'm not planning on giving up sexual thoughts just because I hit a certain age) but no-one has the right to make you feel uncomfortable while you are trying to do your job. Personally I would feel very threatened if someone I was working with made a comment to me like the ones you describe, regardless of age, and I think it's only a lack of modern thinking that means they feel they can say these things to you. Perhaps you should cheerfully ask them how they'd feel if one of their same-aged friends were to behave like that with their own daughter or grand-daughter. Gently highlighting the inappropriate nature of the comment based on age and professional relationship, may well be enough to make them realise they are making life difficult for you. |
Yeah Rockintime! Great information.
Use it or lose it sorta thing maybe? :D |
Loulabelle...done and done. Thanks for the suggestions.
Teddy Bear...that quote does come to mind, doesn't it? :) |
This thread makes me think of one of my grandpas. When he passed I took my mom up to his place to take care of everything. We were in his bedroom and I heard mom start laughing. She had come across a couple of dirty magazines in one of his dresser drawers. Not Playboy, Penthouse or even Hustler........ these were absolutely filthy.
Mom was holding them and turned to me and said, "Did you send these to Dad for Christmas?" It's a memory of the man I never would've guessed I'd have. I'm so very glad that I do though. |
A man to emulate.
