The Weather Channel suggesting today's high will be near 95F. Enough is enough. :(

More anti-Muslim polemicists claiming that Islam requires women to wear a burqa.

Lord Snow 07-30-2011 01:35 PM

I thought Islam was the culture/people and Muslim was their religion. If that's the case then I do believe traditions of the culture/people require the burqa, though I don't think the religion does. I could be wrong, I don't know much about either.

Oldfart 07-30-2011 09:39 PM

Mostly the culture and the religion are inextricably entwined.

The berka is supposedly the woman's choice, but if hubby is demanding, obedience rules.

Lord Snow 07-31-2011 08:47 AM

Throughout history in many countries religion and culture are like that.

PantyFanatic 07-31-2011 09:02 AM

Historically, religion and culture have been evolving things with religion always being behind.

Waking up so stiff I could barely move. Again.

There isn't a winning return comment to that one.

Lord Snow 08-03-2011 08:34 PM

I'd be more than happy to rub those kinks and entertain any others you might have AZ.

Nope. I got a referral to a rheumatologist from my doc; her first available appointment? Mid-October.

Gee, thanks.

Sold! That sounds pretty nice.

Sounds like I found the winning return comment........ I swear, Route 66 is looking better and better.

Oldfart 08-05-2011 05:44 PM

Better than 65 or 67?

Sorry, Aussie joke.

Some news about our local college coach's 6 year old. He has a rare blood disease, that I just happened to have read about earlier in the day as my kiddo is going to be needing to see a hematologist, so I had been studying up.
