Our prayers are with your friend, Rabbit, that somehow he'll find the strength to deal with this tragedy.

My brother is moving to Holland Michigan of all places.

I nearly set my house on fire with a grease fire this afternoon. Everyone is okay but the kitchen is a wreck and smoke went throughout the house. I'm so mad at myself.

I hate to dampen the parade, but Marian beat you by 17 years. She put on some chips in a deep fryer and then answered the phone.

Seriously, glad it's only some furniture destroyed, not one of the dogs or their parents.

Being awakened at way too early today from someone who then proceeded to not only misunderstand the time that she should have called, but also called to cancel plans for the evening.

Freakin' dealing with this new Windows 8 box.

gekkogecko 07-02-2014 07:59 AM

A friend of mine who has been dealing very badly with her mother dying; that process has finally finished, and neither she nor her father are dealing well with it.

That really sucks GG. All you can really do though is be there for them, and remind them that the passing is a release from any sufferings and that as long as they remember her, she will always live on. Sounds cliche, but it's that way for a reason.

Oldfart 07-03-2014 01:42 AM

It's complex, GG, but it says as much about their loss as it does about her death. Time may not heal, but it will put blessed distance between them and the event.

sodaklostsoul 07-04-2014 09:22 PM

So sorry GG!!!!
