Locker Room Compliments
 

Went to the gym earlier tonight and had a bit of a surprise. After I had showered and was getting dressed in the locker room, another woman walked past and told me I had great breasts. :o

Seeing as how I've been pretty shy about my body in public this was a big shock to me. I didn't know what to say in response...not even sure if I smiled...probably just had a look of disbelief on my face! :rolleyes: I didn't know how to react to something like that out of the blue.

Has anyone else ever been complimented in the locker room before? If so, how have you reacted??

Nope.... and very unlikely to happen... I'd just smile and say thankyou, like Tipper said... but I can't see it happening!

Why not just say "thank you" like you would if someone complimented you on anything else?

And Blueswede......you're forgetting that some of us go into shock at receiving any kind of compliment! Lol I personally am notoriously bad at it......to the point where sometimes I probably seem rude. I did get good at it for a while in my yonger days but now I don't feel I deserve it so I've gone back to receiving them most ungraciously! Lol

Exercise facility (health club, sport club, etc.)

Maybe it was said to judge a reaction. Take it lightly and go on about your business.

Yeah, I've had guys tell me that I have a nice ass...of course they were of a different "persuasion" than I....but I was polite enough to say "Thanks". :p

I love compliments from a man........but I'm never in a situation where he'd just blurt out "Great Breasts", unless it's here at Pixies. It's rather rare when a man will say something like, "Wow, you look great in that color"......or something like that, so I accept that as a high form of praise. The usual, "looking as sexy as ever" is nice but rather common (not that I get that all the time but that it's a generality) and so I say a gracious TY and try not to blush.

When a woman compliments me on anything I am taken aback for a split second (actually to see if she is being catty) and if I see she is sincere, I take it as one of the finest compliments I can get. As I eluded to, women can sometimes be catty in dishing out compliments.......but after I "read" the look on her face and know that she has studied me enough to bring herself to say something nice..........I am very flattered!

I wouldn't care if I suspected she might be a lesbian or had ulterior motives of any sort. That she said something so nice as, "nice breasts", would make me rethink how I look at mine. Now, if she reached out and cupped one as she was saying this......well, that's a different scene all together.

I guess what I am saying is...........A compliment spoken with sincerity and thoughtfulness is always appreciated! For a woman to say it seems so much more flattering as it is less common to receive.

A compliment is a compliment. I happen to appreciate the attentions of both genders, so perhaps my view is a little different than most, but if someone said I had a nice arse or looked particularly delicious, I'd thank them so long as they didn't attempt to violate common decency or my personal space.

Just to stick in my $.02.A few years ago,I worked for a security
Co.,that did alot of subcontracting for Liberty Mutual.My wife
(works for Liberty Mutual)knows my propensity,for joking
around,with different women,after I have known them for some
time&realise the boundries of what they,don't take as insulting!
She told me,one day,to be careful of what I said to anyone,
because it might be overheard by another,who would report
me.She said that they had classes on sexual harrassment and
some people were taking it so seriously,that men that worked with you,were afraid to compliment you,on looking nice that day.
She said that a usual-one bad apple spoils the barrel! Irish

I've never had anyone in a locker room compliment something like my breasts or butt specifically, but I have had my figure complimented. That was alot less forward than what you got, and it was easy just to smile and say thanks.

I know how I feel as a woman having another woman compliment my body - I like the compliment. But I'm curious how the guys would feel having another guy compliment their body (or one part of it). Would you guys feel wierd or offended?

I wouldn't feel offended at all. I'd even feel honored if the gent complimenting me were cute. =)

Milady went to the rest room at our local New Year's Party. A large blonde lady, just a little drunk, came up and grabbed her butt saying "I thought so - no knickers. Any no bra either." And walked off.

Milady was shocked when she returned to out table but this soon melted into feeling very flattered. Never saw the blonde again.
