Non Critter pics *L*

I often snap pics of things that arent critter like *L*....i just dont tend to share them.

But i really like the latest ones i took, so i thought i'd start a thread and share these (and possible future shots i like) with my Pixie buddies!

Stormy weather

I snapped some pics while on the phone, standing in the middle of the street *L* The neighbours prolly thought i was nuts but anyway. Here's some of the pics

The wind really started up at about this stage and i bailed for inside *LOL*

I have a week off now, so yeah i'm hoping to get my poor neglected camera out and about. We are currently in the Carnival of Flowers time of year here, tho severe water restrictions have pulled in the number of flower beds around the city, the ones that are in Queens park are gorgeous, and i want to get pics.

Speaking of flowers, we have a plant which was bought described just as "Indoor Plant", no name, no pack-drill. It's like a lily or an Iris.

Anyone recognise the non-critter?

Noah 09-26-2009 02:41 AM

It looks sorta Iris like OF

Noah 12-07-2009 12:16 PM

Some new pics :)

dicksbro 12-08-2009 05:09 AM

Been a while since i've added pics here, and to be honest been a while since i've taken any non critter pics. I need to go out more often, i really enjoyed it.

anyway onto the pics............click on them to get larger pics...figured this way would be more dial up friendly.

Pleased to see someone liked them :) Well found em interesting at least *LOL*

dicksbro 03-19-2010 04:35 PM

Pictures are beautiful, thank you for sharing them. The 5th one in the first set (a conical shape with a flat top) looks like a volcano but I couldn't see a caldera. Is it? Or, is a just a rather different shaped hill/mountain?

Lilith 03-19-2010 04:38 PM

Lovely!

Noah 03-19-2010 07:21 PM

Thanks DB & Lil. I'm finding i really enjoy pic taking. Hoping at some stage to pick up a SLR, so i can try some other stuff too.

DB ~ Its name is Tabletop mountain, its part of the Toowoomba Range. I'm unsure if it is/was a volcano... I'll have to suss it out

Oldfart 03-19-2010 10:05 PM

I'm pretty sure it's a mesa, DB, just a tough iece of caprock.

Noah 03-20-2010 01:43 AM

Here's what i could find DB....

Mt Campbell and Table Top mountain, both remnant of old volcanic craters, will present a challenge to the experienced bushwalker.

dicksbro 03-20-2010 05:05 AM

Thanks much, OF and Noah! Again, great photos! You can keep us entertained with pictures like those. :)

Oldfart 03-20-2010 05:25 AM

Noah, you'll love a DSLR when you lay mitt on it.

PantyFanatic 03-21-2010 01:29 PM

You can't fool me.

You can pain it green but I still know it's not The Rock. ;)

Water!?!?!?

Where did you find that?

See!

There really is a North.

Thanks Sharni. :) Great pics as usual. Really is very interesting to us up-overers. ;)

Teddy Bear 03-21-2010 06:09 PM

PantyFanatic 05-03-2010 07:54 AM

I see where they have a bumper crop of Vegemite in No. 4, but what are those green crops?

Fangtasia 05-04-2010 07:26 PM

The green crops are....errrrrr....plants :D:D:D
