Hey guys, I know in general this is an adult site but sometimes it's nice for something normal and not sexual. I want to see what pets people have. Rastapope and I have a dog named Rolo and a cat named Oreo.

Cute critters! :D I remember that ages ago there was a thread devoted to pix of people's pets. Sharni even posted pix of her fish at the time.

I don't have a pix to post of my pets right now, but they are 2 cats--Sasha and Garlic.

It was a lot of fun to see the other members (so to speak) of people's families.

(I wonder if CasperTG has a pet vomiting trout. :fish: )

Cute! I love how the cat is almost as big as the dog :)

I should scan some pics of my beautiful, calm dog and psycho kitty. SS should post the crazy upside down pic of her cat!

Ananke and Rastapope,

Great idea for a thread. Just like 'non-pervs', Pixie's folks love showing off their pets!!

Here is a link to a very similar thread, done a few months ago with some of our 'absent' members pets as well as some of our current members......................................enjoy !!!

Although I have 4 cats, this is my favorite photographic subject.

Meet my Harley (with one of the others, Bitsy, in the background):

My beautiful Golden Retriever - Champers. Sadly, he's getting on a bit. Really bad arthritis in his hips make it difficult for him to go for walks - but HE LOVES his walks!!! It takes him about half an hour for him to limp around the block, but he LOVES it!! lol :D

The rest of the time, as you can see from the pic, he's fairly sedentary :)

This is Toby.

He's a mutt but seems to have alot of boxer in him. He never leaves my side when I'm home. If I sit he'll be right beside my chair. If I'm moving around the house cleaning, he's never more then 2 steps away. (which at times has caused him to be tripped over) He's not allowed up stairs, so when I go up to bed at night he sleeps at the bottom of the stairs and each morning when I go down stairs I'm greeted first by his wagging tail thumping on the floor , then he prances and jumps all over like I'd been gone for a month.

To everyone......wonderful pets! TY for sharing!

For CasperTG........I might be able to help! Your story about Champers touched my heart! It seems most golden retrievers get the same joint pain. I was talking at work one day, about my neighbors dog Cinnamon (a golden retriever of about 10-11 y/o) and how sweet she is and how sad it is to watch her try to get up from a prone position. She wants, ever so much, to run and romp and play....and she especially loves going for rides with her "daddy", but for the past year she's had such pain she doesn't want to do much of anything. My neighbor can't bear the thought of putting her down and wished she would just die in her sleep one day. His vet told him to give her one aspirin a day and she might have less pain. It didn't help a bit. My friend at work said she had a golden retriever several years ago and her vet told her to give him AleveŽ (an OTC pain aid here in America.....dunno if you have it there). She said it was like a miracle......her dogs last few years were nearly pain free in that her dog could get around much better....and a bonus......the more excercise the better he felt! Just one AleveŽ and about an hour later her dog was up and running around almost like a puppy. So.......I told my neighbor this. Well.........Cinnamon has had the same effect! It's like a miracle to see her running through my neighbors yard now....and she can get up into his truck (whereas he used to have to lift her)........and he said she can get into their tub for baths now too. They found her in the tub one afternoon......waiting for her bath.....something she hadn't been able to do in over 8 months!

I don't work for, nor am I affiliated with the AleveŽ company in any way, shape or form, but I know from personal witness that the product worked for Cinnamon! I don't know if AleveŽ is available in Australia.........but if you checked with your vet and it was ok.....I'd be willing to send you some to try for Champers! Just one pill a day lasts for hours! Every critter deserves a pain free "golden" years! PM me if you want hun! I hope you will at least ask your vet about what I've said! *hugs*

Well I currently have only 2 pets. Buster the boxer (which his pic is in the link SugarSprinkles posted - btw ty SS) and Rainbow the Bearded Dragon (no recent pics yet).

CasperTG, if you don't have the exact brand Aleve, I'm sure you have other brands of the generic form of Aleve--naproxen. It's often a LITTLE easier on your stomach than the famous anti-inflammatory medication ibuprofen. But...dang...I can't remember what the usual over-the-counter strength of Aleve is. I'll bet Lixy can tell us.

Also there are some home remedies that work really well for bad hips. Chances are your dog has hip displacia. You might try crushing up egg shells for an extra dose of calcium...seems to work wonders. If he doesnt like it but it in a bit of yogurt...always works =) BTW thanks all for sharing. Lots of cute pets out there!
