I often start, stop, and start again, but I'm not usually doing it intentionally. Maybe my fingers or arm gets sore and needs a quick break, or maybe the fantasy I am using isn't quite enough to take me over the top, so I stop for a second while I am thinking of a different fantasy to use. I have to be careful about not stopping and starting too often in a session, or I will find myself desensitized and won't be able to come no matter how long I try.
