So I've got a temp job I started in Feb, going through June. Hourly wages, no benefits. I'm still looking for something salaried and with benefits.

Partly because this job has be going to 18 different sites in 3 communities in NE Illinois and partly because I finally paid off the car I bought in 2001, I used my income tax refund to pay for a cell phone and activation. I got a Sony Ericsson Z600 phone (and should have waited for the Z500, coming soon, natch), and cell service through T-Mobile. It's all been pretty good, though I had to call tech support to get photo messaging working, although the only thing I've really done with it is send pics of the dog.

(of course, if anyone is NICE to me enough about it, I might swap camera phone photos with a lady who has one of her own.... ;) )

I also had an amusing/aggravating story a few weeks ago when I was trying to get ready for a Tuesday morning interview down in Chicago, got a hair cut and started looking for a good pair of black pants because the pair I did have had a hole right above one of the back pockets. So I went and looked. And looked. And looked!
I wound up going to six different stores looking for pants in my size (32" waist, 34" inseam) and found NOTHING, in ANY COLOR, until I finally got to JC Penney's, MINUTES before closing, found two pairs of black Dockers and bought both.

I didn't get that job though :P

A couple of weeks ago, preparing for a brief weekend trip to do research for a college class, I stopped off at Wal-Mart, looking to see if they had an inexpensive zipper jacket (I've got a black one with a sweatshirt type lining, but it's a few years old now, and says Purdue on it, and I've not really had anything to do with that school at ALL in years) - all they had were the kind with snaps up the front, which I don't really like, as it's far more likely that those snaps will tear out.....
But I DID find a pair of olive green dress pants in my size, and a light colored polo type shirt.....
*sigh*

Can you take a picture with your phone of your black pants and put the olive green dress pants on your arms so you don't catch cold and get another infection because they only had snaps and you couldn't zip up your jacket?
