Yesterday was a record breaking 80F (24C) and today I have 1-1/2" of snow on the lawn now with more coming. The 40 mph wind gusts didn't seem to have promise spring tomorrow and they tell me it MIGHT get above freezing.

Well, we had a good heavy rain last night with lots of thunder and lightening, but, unfortunately, it didn't last long enough. Haven't checked the rain gauge yet, but I suspect between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. Going to be another hot and humid day I'm afraid with highs in the mid to upper 90's. Fortunately it's suppose to dip some this weekend with the highs in the upper 80s or low 90s. Not as good as I'd like for PIP, but not bad for an Illinois summer. Besides, it's probably good training for Nashville next summer. :)

Went to a funeral at our church and I'm glad it's only a about a block and a half from our hourse. Just shoved our sidewalk and driveway and I think we ended up with maybe 7" +/- an inch or so. Started out they were expecting a 2-4" snowfall. The past few weeks we've hardly gotten beyond the 20s but now that we have the makings of a white Christmas ... they expect it to get up to 40F for several days later this coming week. Illinois can't even get it's white Christmas' right. :mad:
